Read this if you feel like there’s not enough time in your day
As a working, homeschooling mom who has an online ministry and plans to start back to college next week, I totally get that some weeks are just crazy-busy! And I know that when there are small children, uninterrupted sleep is hard to come by. So I’m not going to harp on you about just relaxing all the time. But I do want you to remember this:
If God expected us to do 30 hours worth of stuff every day, He would have made the days 30 hours long. But God, in all His infinite wisdom, created 7 day weeks with just 24 hours to each day. And He created our bodies to need about 8 hours of sleep at night. Rest is sweet, isn’t it?!
The to-do list will never be finished.
We can fight against it or we can accept it.
We can remember that God has the night shift. He’s still awake and working behind the scenes, even while we sleep. Even in the midst of your busy week, I hope you can rest in knowing that!
If you’re feeling overwhelmed with life right now, I want to encourage you to pray about your schedule and ask God to help you prioritize wisely. I’d love if you leave a comment and let me know how I can pray for you in regards to your schedule or anything else.
28 “Come to Me, all who are weary and heavy-laden, and I will give you rest. 29 Take My yoke upon you and learn from Me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. 30 For My yoke is easy and My burden is light.” Matthew 11:28-30 NASB
