Time Saving Tip Tuesday: Breakfast To Go
I’m just going to admit it: I’ve completely fallen off the timeliness bandwagon, especially on Sunday mornings.
I am working on getting back on track, and I have a little trick for when we need to get somewhere early:
Breakfast in the car.
I don’t make the food or drive through somewhere. I just grab something easy like bananas, pepperoni rolls, or granola bars – just whatever we have on hand that doesn’t need prepared.
Bonus tip: I keep a pop-tart size box of food in our car. It holds things like beef jerky, fruit snacks, crackers, and a bottle of water.
Having simple (non-meltable) food in the car has come in very handy if I’ve forgotten to grab breakfast on our way out the door, or if we’re out later than planned and I just need something small to hold my little ones over until we get home for an actual meal.
Plus, having food ready for the car saves time and money over eating fast food on a whim. Another win-win.
