Mom who’s worried your child is growing too quickly, this is for you
If you’re worried that your babies are growing up too quickly, but you’re also crazy-tired from being needed every single second, keep this in mind:
Big kids can dress themselves, get their own snacks (and cook family meals!), do their own laundry, and learn how to accomplish other tasks, like grass-mowing and bathroom scrubbing.
Plus, they think deeply, learn really cool stuff they’re often excited to share with a listening ear, develop their own unique skills and interests, are fun to hang out with, and play games that are so much better than Candy Land (hallelujah amen!!).
In other words, the big kid stage is fantastic!
I’m telling you this because I wish someone would have told me, so I wouldn’t have worried so much about “enjoying every minute” or one day missing the baby stages when I was so stinking exhausted and someone was puking in her bed again at 3am.
Enjoy the little years? Absolutely, as much as you can (and it is okay that you don’t love every single difficult moment)! Train them diligently? Wholeheartedly, YES!
But worry about how fast they’re growing? Not for a second!
