Do You Struggle With Friendship?
Every time I see an old photo of these two, I can’t help but think about how they’re an amazing testament of what friendship should be like.
They became immediate besties in preschool and stayed best friends for years. As they grew, their friendship circles widened, their interests changed, and they spent less time together. But they still love each other unconditionally, cheer each other on, and partner together incredibly well on school project days.
Nearly a lifetime of memories, these girls have, largely because of their willingness to allow each other to grow and change and become their own person.
“A friend loves at all times.” Proverbs 17:17
Their moms – Misty Bailey and I – have also been friends for over 11 years. If you struggle with friendships, you’ll definitely want to check out the very first podcast episode we ever recorded together. Among other things, Misty and I discussed how me going back to work full-time for a season changed our friendship, and what we learned from that. Click here to listen.
