Let’s Not Forget the Price of Freedom
I’d always wished that my grandfather, a WWII veteran, could have seen this wall in person:

He was still living when I made the trip to D.C. in 2011. If I’d known he’d never make it there on his own, I would have tried to figure out a way to take him myself ![]()

Countless men and women have made great sacrifices for our country’s freedoms – there were many who fought in battles, and many more who took care of families, homes, and jobs while unsure if their loved ones were dead or alive.
It’s so easy to take our freedom for granted, but it has come at an unfathomable price.
