God is faithful, even when we cannot see (and a FREE surprise!)

If you follow me on Instagram, then you know my family has been crazy busy getting our fixer upper ready to move into and finally settling in! (You can see before & after photos in my story highlights.)

We waited 7 years for our little house. 7 years!

It felt like forever.

And in the waiting, I wondered if we’d ever actually see our dream to fruition. I questioned whether or not my husband and I were making the right decision. At times, I doubted whether God really heard – or cared about – my prayers.

But you know what?

So much growth happened during that season. My family learned patience and diligence. My kids matured. Valuable life skills and renovation abilities were honed. And our faith in God’s provision grew a tremendous amount.

We were reminded that God is good and faithful and working behind the scenes even when we cannot see. Even in the difficult days, the long sleepless nights, and the inward battle of flesh vs. spirit.

God is always there. And he loves us so much.

Keeping a gratitude journal throughout this long transition has been so good for me. It helps me keep things in perspective and to look for the good throughout the day so I can write about it.
