Book Review: 31 Days to Clean
In my eBook, 28 Days to Timeliness, I discussed the importance of creating and maintaining a clean home. After all, if we’re searching for our keys, jackets, phones, and shoes ten minutes after we should have left, then it’s difficult to be on time.
One of my favorite cleaning books is Sarah Mae’s eBook, 31 Days to Clean – Having a Martha House the Mary Way. Sarah gently digs into the heart issues behind a messy house. She also offers a Mary (cleaning) task and a Martha (heart) task to complete each day.
Sarah is real and she doesn’t pretend to have it all together. I love her openness, and her book helped to motivate me to roll up my sleeves and get to work so I could make my home a relaxing haven for my family to enjoy.
Here’s what another reader says about 31 Days to Clean:
“What do you think of when you consider doing laundry, washing dishes, and cleaning the dreaded bathroom? Are you discouraged? Do you feel overwhelmed? I have to say I feel that way … often. In all my live-long days I haven’t seen my home as a ministry. Can I serve Jesus and others as I clean my home? Sarah Mae proves I can. As a wife, mom, mother-in-law and mentor to teenage moms I’m going to cherish this book and share what I learned. Cleaning is more than just fighting germs. It can be a ministry of the heart!” -Tricia Goyer, author of 25 books including Blue Like Play Dough: The Shape of Motherhood in the Grip of God
31 Days to Clean is available on Kindle and PDF for just $4.99.
