Book review by Renee Brown: 28 Days to Timeliness

My timely friend Renee Brown, who watched me grow up, wrote a review on her blog about 28 Days to Timeliness. I am so thankful that people are taking the time to read my book and are being so open and honest about their own experiences and reactions to what I wrote!

“I looked forward to reading this book thinking of how wonderful it would be to experience Davonne’s voice in print. I did not imagine the book’s advice would be applicable to my life. I soon found myself chuckling because it wasn’t very long before I began to see that there were many tips I could use in my daily life.” Renee Brown

#15 on Amazon Time Management Best Seller List!

Yesterday I thought that #40 on the Amazon Time Management Best Seller List was incredible (and I still do!) but when I checked this morning, I discovered that my book was at #15 (front page!) and listed as a “Hot New Release!” I cropped a few screen shots to share as a little way to savor the moment. I am very excited, and I am so grateful to everyone who has helped me, whether it’s been with tech support, editing, creating the cover, making suggestions on how to improve my sales page, offering words of encouragement, leaving incredible reviews and comments, purchasing 28 Days to Timeliness, and/or telling others about my book.  Thank you all so much!

Book Review and Coupon Code from Crystal Paine

Crystal Paine of MoneySavingMom.com posted a review of my book on her website today! Here’s a snippit:

Davonne and I might as well be two peas in a pod. She gets me. I laughed at her stories (I even shared her hilarious wearing PJs to church story with my husband — who thought it was so funny that he shared it at a recent family gathering!). I nodded my head in agreement with so many of her points. And I picked up new practical ideas for overcoming lateness.

Book Review from Misty: 28 Days to Timeliness

My friend Misty Bailey posted a review about my book on her blog.  Misty wrote about the book, and my timeliness skills (or lack there-of), from her perspective. When I arrived late to our first planned activity, and several events after that, Misty never once acted angry with me or made any hurtful comments about my tardiness. In fact, she was always encouraging and, when I started arriving 10 minutes late instead of 30, she noticed!  Partly because of that, she is mentioned in my book’s acknowledgements and she is the person after whom the bonus chapter was modeled. If you’d like to hear Misty’s side of the story, read her review here.

Thank you for reading – I hope that you and timeliness become very well acquainted ;)

Sneak Peek: Course of Action

Course of Action: Contemplate why you’re late to certain commitments, and then do one thing to begin working through the main heart issue.

Each day of 28 Days to Timeliness ends with a suggested course of action you can take to really initiate the discipline of being on time. The above course of action is given on Day 3: Recognize the Reasons for Your Lateness. To read more about reasons we’re late and how to work through those issues, purchase the eBook here.

Sneak Peek: Declutter Your Home

If you can’t find your keys, shoes, jacket, or wallet because they’re buried under a pile of clutter, then chances are you’re going to be late. If you shove your mess into closets and under beds on a regular basis before company arrives, then you likely have too much stuff. When you run to the store to buy a new pack of pens or a pair of scissors because you can’t find yours, you are wasting precious time and money that could be put to better use elsewhere.

If the above scenarios feel a little too close for comfort then you probably struggle with clutter.

Read my tips about how to use small pockets of time to attack the time-stealing clutter piles in Day 15 of 28 Days to Timeliness.
