Fun Updates about My Books, My Blog, Pinterest and More

(NOTE: This week only, you can download my entire collection for just $0.99. Keep reading to see how.)

My husband and I have been busy workers on Amazon!

My eBook “101 Time-Saving Tips for Busy Moms” is now available on Amazon for just $0.99! (Don’t worry – blog subscribers will still receive their copy for free!)

This book has also been updated with several new links to help further expand on some ideas within the eBook.

My other eBook “28 Days to Timeliness” has been updated
with all working links (a few in the book were no longer current), among a few other little things (plus, it’s on sale this week for $0.99, so now is a great time to buy if you haven’t done so yet).

And I updated my Amazon Author Page!
It has a new(ish) photo, direct links to my books, and an updated author description.

NOTE: If you’ve read either of my books and found one or both of them to be beneficial, will you please leave a review on Amazon soon? It would be very helpful for potential readers to be able to see more reviews about my books, particularly on “101 Time-Saving Tips for Busy Moms.” Thank you so much!

In addition to Amazon updates, I’ve been a busy worker on my blog!

I improved my “About Me” Page with a little more content about myself and an updated family photo (plus a confession about my declutter obsession!).

I also updated my Contact Page which now includes direct links to my Facebook page, links to my book pages, information about where to start if you’re new, and more.

The first tab in the sidebar to your right has been updated as well, with links to all of my products in one easy-to-find location. You can download my entire collection for just $0.99 this week only, so make sure to check those links out!

That’s not all – I’ve also updated my Pinterest boards!

My home has recently become gluten-free and dairy-free due to sensitivities and intolerances, and my only Gluten-Free, Dairy-Free board had become one big mess.

So I separated things out and I now have GF, DF Information and Substitutions; GF, DF Recipes I Have Made (complete with notes about any substitutions I made and what my family thought of the final result); and a board for GF, DF Recipes I Want to Try (I just bought blueberries to make these muffins this week!).

Many of the recipes I’ve pinned are great for gluten and dairy eaters as well (like this incredible pizza sauce recipe) so take a look around on there if you haven’t yet!

Gluten Free, Dairy Free Dessert Tray (Truffles, No-Bake Cookies, and Fudge)

I also created a Small Home Ideas board so I can pin ideas to use if my family someday moves to a tiny house in the country. (I need help with this board, so if you know of any great articles or photos online, please let me know!)

And of course, many of my other Pinterest Boards have new pins as well.

How to Reach Me

I’ve already told you about my updated contact page, and I’m sure you know you can leave comments on my blog posts, but did you know that, if you’re a subscriber, you can reply directly to the subscription e-mails you receive in your inbox? Several people have done that and it’s a great way to quickly let me know what you’re thinking or to ask a question, particularly if you’re not comfortable posting those thoughts online.

2014 Goals

How are you doing with your 2014 Goals?

I plan to publish an update about my January progress on Friday, January 31. I’m looking forward to hearing about your progress as well!

Reminder: please take a minute to leave a book review on Amazon if either of my books were helpful to you.
Thank you so much!

Fresh Home eBook Bundle: Organizing, Cleaning, and Time Management Tools You Need to Get Your Home Clean and Tidy

{SPECIAL NOTE: This sale is now over, but each eBook can still be purchased individually!}
Fresh Home Digital ebook bundle

I’m just going to come right out and say it – I’m a horrible sales person. At my first yard sale, people would pick up items they were thinking about buying and I’d say something like, “It feels so great to have that out of my house; our home is so much cleaner without all this junk in it!” Then the person would respond with, “Yeah, I should do that to my house too” before putting the item down and walking away. You’d think I’d eventually realize the error of my ways and stop talking, but no. I kept making those comments. All. Day. Long.

In addition to being a terrible salesperson, I’m always thinking of ways to get items cheaper or figuring out how to just re-purpose what I already have instead of buying something else, and I love helping other people find great deals as well. I’m the person who will say, “You don’t need to buy that book! Borrow my copy!” Or, if I don’t have the book? I’ll offer to lend a friend’s copy. (I’m sure my friends love it when I lend their stuff out to people they don’t even know!)

So, perhaps needless to say, advertising something that’s for sale makes me feel a bit uncomfortable. I do however love to pass along information about great deals that I think will be beneficial to other people. With this in mind, I’m going to go ahead and let you know about a great deal on two topics that I’m passionate about – organization and time management, which also happens to be perfect timing for the new school year!

Book review by Renee Brown: 28 Days to Timeliness

My timely friend Renee Brown, who watched me grow up, wrote a review on her blog about 28 Days to Timeliness. I am so thankful that people are taking the time to read my book and are being so open and honest about their own experiences and reactions to what I wrote!

“I looked forward to reading this book thinking of how wonderful it would be to experience Davonne’s voice in print. I did not imagine the book’s advice would be applicable to my life. I soon found myself chuckling because it wasn’t very long before I began to see that there were many tips I could use in my daily life.” Renee Brown

#15 on Amazon Time Management Best Seller List!

Yesterday I thought that #40 on the Amazon Time Management Best Seller List was incredible (and I still do!) but when I checked this morning, I discovered that my book was at #15 (front page!) and listed as a “Hot New Release!” I cropped a few screen shots to share as a little way to savor the moment. I am very excited, and I am so grateful to everyone who has helped me, whether it’s been with tech support, editing, creating the cover, making suggestions on how to improve my sales page, offering words of encouragement, leaving incredible reviews and comments, purchasing 28 Days to Timeliness, and/or telling others about my book.  Thank you all so much!

Book Review and Coupon Code from Crystal Paine

Crystal Paine of posted a review of my book on her website today! Here’s a snippit:

Davonne and I might as well be two peas in a pod. She gets me. I laughed at her stories (I even shared her hilarious wearing PJs to church story with my husband — who thought it was so funny that he shared it at a recent family gathering!). I nodded my head in agreement with so many of her points. And I picked up new practical ideas for overcoming lateness.

Go here to read Crystal’s full review.  And, as a  bonus, there’s a 50% off coupon code (good through this Friday) included in her post!

Book Review from Misty: 28 Days to Timeliness

My friend Misty Bailey posted a review about my book on her blog.  Misty wrote about the book, and my timeliness skills (or lack there-of), from her perspective. When I arrived late to our first planned activity, and several events after that, Misty never once acted angry with me or made any hurtful comments about my tardiness. In fact, she was always encouraging and, when I started arriving 10 minutes late instead of 30, she noticed!  Partly because of that, she is mentioned in my book’s acknowledgements and she is the person after whom the bonus chapter was modeled. If you’d like to hear Misty’s side of the story, read her review here.
